Virtual Healthcare

(Telemedicine)

Salina Regional Health Center, Cloud County Health Center and Lindsborg Community Hospital providers are now providing vCare (virtual healthcare) to patients. vCare provides convenient access to healthcare removing the need to come to the physician office for a visit. Patients can receive healthcare from the comfort of their own home. Not all visits are suitable for virtual care, so be sure to contact your healthcare provider to determine whether vCare is appropriate for your medical care.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is vCare?

vCare is virtual healthcare; an audio/visual encounter between physician and patient that occurs in real time. These remote visits allow both physician and patient to communicate in a consultation that is just as private as an in-person appointment.

How does vCare benefit me?

vCare allows you to stay in your home or at work, removing the need to travel to the physician office.

Does my insurance cover virtual healthcare? Will there be any additional costs?

Virtual healthcare visits are reimbursable. Any additional costs are determined by the patient’s insurance coverage.

Can my provider prescribe medication?

Yes, the provider can prescribe medication for a patient they’ve seen virtually as long as the patient is in the same state in which the provider is licensed.

Can the provider order tests?

Yes, the provider can order any testing including radiology, lab, therapy, and more.

Are all visits appropriate for vCare?

There are some visits that are not suitable for vCare and the scheduling coordinators at each practice can help determine what type of visit would best fit each medical situation.

How do I schedule vCare consultations?

Contact your provider to see if virtual care is appropriate for your next appointment.

Where do I have to be to participate in a virtual healthcare visit?

The patient can be located in their home, work or anywhere they can have privacy. The patient must also be in the state of Kansas during the visit.
